When students majoring in sports are asked whether they enjoy learning English, many of them say they face difficulties. Some students feel challenged and unmotivated, while others are enthusiastic because they want to communicate confidently in English. This book is designed to support these students by introducing a heutagogy-based model of English learning, which combines ideas from pedagogy and andragogy. Heutagogy, or self-determined learning, places students at the center of the learning process. Students are encouraged to decide what and how they want to learn, while lecturers act as facilitators rather than instructors. This approach has gained increasing attention because it offers an alternative solution for education in today’s rapidly changing world.
